National Institute of Management Studies is proud of the Institute’s reputation for training quality hospitality professionals. A major element of being a member of the National Institute of Management Studies marine family is the importance placed on proper grooming and deportment. All students are responsible for maintaining a high standard personal hygiene and grooming. Students’ not wearing proper uniform during institute working hours or within the premises of the Institute will be disallowed from attending classes and may be penalized in accordance with the Disciplinary Procedure enumerated.

Gentleman:

F & B (Service) : White full sleeved shirt, Black trouser and Black bowtie.

F & B (Production) : Black trouser, white Chef Coat, scarf, white apron and ChefCap.

House keeping : Black trouser, white full sleeved shirt and Housekeepingapron.

All other classes : White full sleeved shirt, black striped trouser, Institutes tie,black leather shoes with black laces, black socks and black striped blazer inwinter.

Ladies :

F & B (Service) : White full sleeved shirt, Black skirt, Black laces and blackBallerina Shoes.

F & B (Production) : Black trouser, white Chef Coat, scarf, white apron and ChefCap.

House keeping : Black trouser, white full sleeved shirt and Housekeeping apron.

All other classes : White full sleeved shirt, black striped trouser, and scarf, black Ballerina shoes and black striped blazer in winter.

Special Attention :

The Name Plate is the Student’s Identity and forms part of your uniform. Wear it all times.

Take special care to maintain high standards of personal hygiene. Gentle men should shave regularly, trim their nails and maintain short hair style. Ladies should ensure their nails are manicured and their hair neatly organized inbuns. Use deodorants, but please do not overusethem.

Avoid wearing rings on fingers. A maximum of one ring may be allowed based on religious / social necessity.

Ensure that your hair is free of dandruff and your breath is fresh. Strive to become a professional National Institute of Management Studies lady/gentleman. Mehandi, hena or hair dye is strictly prohibited. Spectacles with tinted glasses are strictly prohibited. Ladies should wear only one pair of ear- rings.
